Sheila’s yoga teaching style is a gentle Hatha Flow method. She is certified as a 200-hour CYT from Therapeutic Approach Yoga Studio and has added other yoga studies including Don Stapleton’s Self-Awakening Yoga, Erich Schiffmann’s Freedom Style Yoga, and Yin Yoga. Sheila recently completed certification in Ayurveda Yoga Specialist from the Himalayan Institute and Yoga 108. She is currently taking advanced certification through the Himalayan Institute. Sheila also has a professional background in nursing and nutrition.

Sheila’s classes are described as a moving meditation with a focus on connection of the mind and breath to body awareness. Her approach combines creativity with curiosity, striving to offer a yoga practice with a balance of effort and ease that leaves the student feeling relaxed, refreshed, and rejuvenated.

    My husband & I are going to classes together. Sheila is awesome and compliments our learning styles. He LOVES yoga and tells everyone how great he feels! Yoga is not just for women. We both have gained from her class and look forward to 2 nights/ week in the new year.
